Today, by a supermajority vote of 77-31, the S.C. House of Representatives passed H. 3774: the Human Life Protection Act, upon third reading to restore legal protection to unborn children.
H. 3774 will move to the S.C. Senate for deliberation.
Rep. John McCravy, the bill's chief sponsor, said "It is now time for those Senators who have called themselves pro-life in the past to vote for life. This bill takes away all their past excuses and gives them a clear (constitutional) path."
We thank the House for their commitment to defend life for all unborn children and their mothers, and we pray the Senate will advance the same cause for life in the coming week.
